Strong demand in the Catalan market remains, only hindered by the lack of supply, especially in the first ring. In the first half of the year, absorption decreased by 23% compared to the previous year and by 10% compared to the average of the first half of the pre-Covid period (2014-2019).
There is a limited supply of completed and planned speculative projects that could provide availability of space in the market.
In the first half of 2024, investment volume in the Catalan market declines by 90% year-on-year.
